Large brush + towel, extension tubes, nozzle w/nylon nozzle brush, small rect brush.

Sweep or vacuum, first; mop w/large brush, corners and baseboards w/nozzle brush; do by sections using continuous motion. Heavily soiled areas use small rect brush, no towel, low volume, don't push hard on the tool.

Quarry tile, slate, ceramic tile & grout

Med

Large brush + towel on front clips only, nozzle w/nylon nozzle brush.

Sweep or vacuum first; mop w/large brush, flip towel under brush to finish wipe; use nozzle brush on grout lines and wipe away loosened dirt.

Hardwood

Low

Large brush + towel, extension tubes.

Fix towel to large brush, heat with vapour ON, reduce or turn vapour OFF and mop the floor, repeat as towel cools. Towel should be hot and moist, not wet.

Smooth concrete

Med-High

Large brush + towel on front clips only, small rect brush.

Sweep or vacuum first; mop w/large brush, flip towel under brush to finish wipe, use nozzle brush or small rect brush for heavily soiled areas.

Wax removal

Med-High

Small rect brush, extension tubes.

Treat by section w/small rect brush, no towel. Do twice. DO NOT OVERHEAT.

Wall to wall, rugs

Med

Large brush + towel, extension tubes.

Vacuum and then PRE-vapour w/small rect brush or large brush a 6'x6' area at 6" above the surface. Attach towel to the brush and wipe in 2 direction - the second at right angles to the first. Stubborn areas may be pre-treated with a light application of gentle detergent followed with vapour treatment.

Spot Cleaning

Nozzle or vapour gun

When using nozzle or vapour gun on spot, stay 4" to 6" from carpet surface. Blot spot w/towel, repeat as necessary. DO NOT OVERHEAT.

Painted, paneling, wallpaper

Low

Small rect brush or large brush with towel, extension tubes.

Painted walls, wallpaper, wood paneling are heat sensitive, Aways use 2, preferrably 3 layers of towel on brushes when treating the surfaces. Do not dwell on any one area too long - treat once, let cool and retreat. On heavily soiled areas, pre-vapour w/nozzle 6" from surface and then use brush w/towel. Towel surface may be pre-treated w/gentle detergent mist to help loosen soil. On wood paneling move quickly, check towel surface for color transfer. WALLPAPER REMOVAL -use nozzle on vapour, wallpaper stripper on large areas. Use small rect brush w/towel to remove residual paste.

Vents

Med-High

Nozzle, extension tubes, small rect brush.

Wipe vents surface w/small rect brush w/towel. Pretreat with extended nozzle brush if neccessary. For louvered vents, use noz w/nozzle brush and towel.

Acoustical tile

Low

Small rect brush or large brush with towel, extension tubes.

Fix towel to large brush or small rect brush, heat with vapour ON, reduce vapour and wipe the surface. Towel should be hot and moist, not wet.

Vinyl, synthetics, cotton

Low-Med

Small rect brush w/towel, threaded nozzle - no brush.

Test in inconspicious location prior to treatment. Vinyls are very heat sensitive and may deform. Pre-vapour area with vapour gun at 6" from surface. Use small rect brush w/towel over surface working in two directions. Towel should be hot and moist, not wet. Use nozzle on seam lines at 2" from surface, wipe away dirt with towel.

Leathers, velours

Low

Small rect brush w/towel.

Test in inconspicious location prior for treatment. Vinyls are very heat sensitive and may deform. Pre-vapour area  with vapour gun at 6" from surface. Use small rect brush w/towel, heat with vapour ON, close off vapour and wipe the surface. DON'T WORK AGAINST THE GRAIN  work only in one direction. Towel should be hot & moist, not wet. Condition leathers after treating.

Mattress, pillows

Med-High

Use small rect brush w/towel, moving slowly to treat against dust mites.

Light dust-open blind 1/2 way &use nozzle on med-high from 4" away. Caution- Thin plastic blinds may be deformed by too much heat. use care. heavy or greasy dust-shut blind, mist w/mild detergent, use nozzle at 4" from surface, wipe immediately w/towel. Vertical vinyl-small rect brush w/towel, switch sides.

Windows, mirrors window screens

Window cleaning tool, small rect brush w/towel, extension tubes.

Pre-vapour glass w/vapour gun at 6" from surface or use small rect brush w/towel over entire surface the first cleaning. Follow up with window tool wipe squeegee blade often. Avoid cracked mirrors or window. Use small rect brush w/towel on screen. Use threaded nozzle + brush to renew frame area, latches etc. Use towel over nozzle brush to finish and polish.

Window frames

Use small rect brush direct and wipe with towel, use threaded nozzle w/brush on mouldings, wipe with towel. CABINET FACING: pre vapour w/nozzle from a distance of 6", let stand a moment, wipe with towel, repeat if necessary.

Use nozzle brushes, small rect brush with no towel to clean grout, rinse or wipe clean. Use small rect brush with towel to maintain.

Porcelain, chrome fixtures

Use small rect brush w/towel to treat larger areas, large nozzle brush w/towel or nozzle w/nozzle nylon brush for corners, hinges, ledges and bars, wipe or rinse away dirt.

Use small rect brush w/out towel or large nozzle brush w/stainless steel pad to remove heavy soap scum from glass panel. Pre-treat area with mild detergent if necessary. Rinse tools often. Wipe or rinse away loosened dirt.

Use small rect brush direct without towel or large round nozzle brush for stubborn areas, rinse or wipe awway soil. Use extension tube for easy reach.
